Radovic Leads BU in Dub at HPU

Natasa Radovic led Biola in a 56-39 victory over HPU at the Shark Tank.

HONOLULU, Hawaii---Natasa Radovic went 7 for 10 from the field, 1 for 1 from the free-throw line and finished with a team-high of 16 points to help Biola beat Hawaii Pacific 56-39 at the Shark Tank.

Jordan Rabe also scored in the double-digits, recording 10 points and going 5-for-10 from the field.

The Eagles (12-11, 8-7 PacWest) and Sharks (6-14, 4-10) played a competitive first quarter. Biola ended up out-scoring Hawaii Pacific 13-10 with the go-ahead basket coming in the quarter's final three seconds. Jaycee Goldsmith knocked down the go-ahead trey that allowed BU to lead 13-10 heading into the second quarter.

Hawaii Pacific answered back by scoring the first two baskets of the second quarter which allowed them to tie up the game 13-13. The Eagles fought back and would continue to go on a huge 10-point run to lead 23-13.

HPU broke up Biola's run with a three-pointer that Eleni Cabrera matched and the Eagles headed into halftime leading 26-16.

BU had their highest scoring frame in the third quarter where they out-scored HPU 19-13.

Laila Walker and Alyssa Kubo led the third quarter scoring with five points a piece. Jordan Rabe scored four points, Radovic had three and Cabrera and Trasara Alexander each had one.

Biola took their largest lead of the game in the fourth frame where they led by 22 points. Hawaii Pacific didn't go down without a fight and managed to trim the Eagles lead to 17 points in Biola's eventual 56-49 victory.

BU plays next on Monday, Feb. 12 at 7:30pm PT against Chaminade at McCabe Gymnasium.
