The Eagles were competitive with the Yotes from the jump. Biola had the lead three times in the first quarter and the game was tied twice. CSUSB built up a six-point lead that Biola would cut down to one by the end of the first quarter (18-17).

The second quarter was another close frame. The score was tied up four times in the second but the Eagles would be out-scored again by just one point. CSUSB led 28-26 headed into the halftime break.

A successful third quarter earned Biola a four-point lead headed into the fourth (44-40).

Biola held the lead for the majority of the fourth quarter, but CSUSB would chip away until they gained the advantage at 3:38 (55-54). Both teams went point-for-point until Jessa Thurman distanced BU with a layup in the paint with 58 seconds remaining (60-58).

However, the Yotes had some late fight and scored the final five points of the game to pull ahead 63-60.

Miller led Biola on the boards, collecting eight rebounds against CSUSB.
