SAN RAFAEL, Calif.---The Biola women's soccer team outlasted Dominican in their 1-0 victory at Kennelly Field.

Biola returns home to La Mirada on a modest two-match winning streak, 2-5-4 overall and 2-2 in the PacWest Conference.

The Eagles and Penguins were neck-and-neck the entire match, but Biola would find a way to pull ahead in the 81st minute.

Marije Rechin put the play in motion when she sent the ball into the box off a corner kick. Peyton Nelson received the ball, headed it toward the goal and the ball would deflect off a Penguin defender before going into the goal.

With nine minutes remaining in regulation, the Eagles defended their lead to take home the 1-0 victory.

Biola had a great defensive game against Dominican. Autum Monty was the Eagles' keeper and led the defensive line. Rechin, Jojo Prisock and Chloe Laurin were key pieces of BU's defensive effort, all playing the full 90 along with Monty.

Next up for Biola is their Cornerstone Cup match against Azusa Pacific on Thursday, October 17th at 7 p.m. at Al Barbour Field.
