IRVINE, Calif.---Brady Turnquist earned the PacWest Conference's first Golfer of the Week award of the year, which combines performances from the past three weeks of action.
Turnquist is not new to this honor and it is actually the seventh time she has received it in her career which ranks her third all-time in the PacWest for the weekly award.
Turnquist has been the backbone of the Eagles' line-up, leading Biola in every tournament so far. She placed second at the Swan Memorial, tied for ninth at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella and was the medalist at the 54 for IX Invitational.
At the Swan Memorial in Colorado, the Senior recorded two-below-par 214 tying for second with West Texas A&M's Gam Songprasert. She went on to win second place in the card off and nearly caught up to the tournament's medalist who shot three-under-par 213. Turnquist also recorded her lowest round of the season in her third round of the Swan Memorial, four-under-par 68.
Turnquist paced the Eagles once again at the RJGA Shootout, tying for ninth out of 74 athletes with a final scorecard of 144.
In BU's most recent invitational (54 for IX), Turnquist was the individual Champion. She led the field in all three rounds and ended up winning with a final scorecard of four-above-par 220 which was five strokes ahead of the next best athlete.
The women's golf team competes next on Monday, Oct. 23 in Waikoloa, Hawai'i.
