Box Score LA MIRADA --- The Eagles needed a miracle late in Thursday's game and Alex Wright delivered. The late game heroics from Wright brought the house down in Chase Gym, as Biola (14-7, 9-5 PacWest) claimed the 68-64 victory over Dominican (11-12, 7-9 PacWest).

As the game drew closer to its end, the momentum heavily favored the visiting Penguins. Dominican continued to add to its lead to build a 10-point advantage with just over four minutes to go.

As the final minute approached, the Penguins still clung to a six-point lead but the Eagles had an ace up their sleeve. Alex Wright took charge and carried the team to the finish line.

A three-pointer from the guard cut the deficit in half to start the surge but there was more work to be done. A pair of free throws from DUC moved the line back to five, before a step-back three fell in from the hands of Wright. The second-straight long ball brought the score to 63-61 in favor of the Penguins.

Dominican made the first of two free throws, leaving the Eagles with a one-possession deficit and the ball. Wright quickly got the ball as the clock ticked past 30 seconds and made a move to his left. The ensuing shot hit the bottom of the net, as he got fouled on the follow through. The and-one free throw put the Eagles in the lead at 65-64.

A DUC turnover and more Eagles free throws sealed the game for a miraculous 68-64 triumph.

"It feels amazing. You don't get too many games that end like that," commented Wright.

Wright tallied 30 points on the night, reaching a career-high in his five years at Biola. Wright also added to his career total of 1,563 points, which ranks seventh in program history. In the final stretch of just over one minute, Wright scored 11 points, including the game-winner.

The BU defense also got the job done as a collective unit. Through the last four minutes of the contest Biola held the Penguins to just five points, while going 1-5 from the field with two turnovers.

Maximo Milovich continued his excellent play inside the paint, coming up with his seventh double-double of the year. The forward posted 13 points to go along with 12 rebounds.

Biola will be back inside Chase Gym on Saturday when it battles Academy of Art at 3:30 pm.
