IRVINE, Calif. --- The top rebounder in the PacWest received his due on Monday. Biola's Maximo Milovich was selected as the PacWest Defender of the Week for his rebounding numbers and protection in the paint.

Milovich helped the Eagles to a 1-1 week, including a road win over Westmont on Saturday. The redshirt junior was effective through the two games, compiling 29 rebounds to go along with one block and two steals.

The Argentina native started the week with a 14-14 double-double through 28 minutes on the floor. He followed that performance up with 15 boards in the weekend victory.

The 29 rebounds on the week moved his season total to 76 and his season average to 8.4 per game. Both marks are good for first in the conference through nine games of the 2023-24 season.

Biola and Milovich will be back on the court on Saturday, as they host Academy of Art at 7:30 pm.
