Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Billi Derleth, Assistant Sports Information Director

Defensive Draw

The women’s soccer team tied Dominican 0-0 at Al Barbour Field. Autum Monty made six saves in the draw.

LA MIRADA---Neither the Biola women's soccer team nor Dominican were able to get past the other this afternoon, resulting in a 0-0 draw at Al Barbour Field.

Autum Monty shined in the goal against the Penguins. The Junior faced 14 shots this afternoon, six of which were on-target and saved by the Eagles' starting keeper. Monty, with the help of Biola's defense, made three saves in the first half and three in the second to keep the Penguins scoreless.

Meanwhile, the Eagles fired in 13 shots, two of which were on-goal and saved by the Penguins' keeper.

Marije Rechin led her team with four shots, one was on-target. Peyton Nelson and Cassidy Sims were close behind Rechin with three shots each. Two of Sims' shots were blocked by the Penguins' defense. Serena Andrade also had a shot on-goal for BU.

Next up for Biola is their senior game which is Saturday, Nov. 4th at 7 p.m. against Academy of Art.
