Eagles Halted

The women’s soccer team was halted by Cal State LA, resulting in a 1-0 loss for the visiting Eagles.

LOS ANGELES, Calif.--- The Biola University women's soccer team lost by one goal to Cal State LA at Jesse Owens Track on Wednesday night. 

Biola is now 1-4-1 on the season, while Cal State LA improved to 3-1-1. 

A late goal in the first half gave the Golden Eagles the advantage (1-0). CSULA continued to play a strong second half, giving BU no opportunities to score while the home team fired in six shots.

Freshman Savanna Tavares made five saves for the Eagles, keeping the match close while her team fought to gain possession. 

Biola totaled two shots in the match, courtesy of Frances Andrade and Peyton Nelson.

The Eagles play next at home against Hope International. The match will take place on Saturday, September 17 at 7 p.m.
