Rough One

Game two on Friday was not the prettiest for Biola in a tough loss to APU.

AZUSA, Calif. --- A break between game one and game two did not slow down the Azusa Pacific (16-10, 9-3 PacWest) offense. BU (12-11, 8-4 PacWest) dropped game two by a 27-3 final margin at the Cougar Baseball Complex.

Despite the rough outcome, multiple Eagles found a bright spot on the afternoon. Rylan Greenlee provided a big hit in the fourth inning, launching a solo homer for BU's first run.

Throughout the Friday doubleheader, the Biola bats showed off their power and big hitting capabilities. Greenlee's long ball gave BU its sixth home run on the day.

A pair of walks sparked the next scoring opportunity for Biola in the seventh frame. Miguel Abascal took advantage of a pinch hitting spot and singled to score Riley Mitchell. Tyler Baca also tallied an RBI with a sacrifice fly to give BU its third run.

The scoring for the Eagles could not keep up with the high-powered Cougar attack. The hosting squad logged six innings with at least three runs to build the significant advantage.

Biola will look to bounce back on Saturday, continuing its series against APU at Eagles Diamond for a single game at 2:00pm.
