LA MIRADA, Calif. — Biola Men's Basketball pushed its win streak to eight games last week with victories over Holy Names and Concordia University Irvine. Chris Rossow played all but one minute in the two wins and dropped in 54 points to earn PacWest Conference Player of the Week.

It's the second PacWest Player of the Week honor for Rossow this season. He earned it back on January 10th as well. It's his first two conference player of the week nods of his standout career.

Biola earned a straightforward win over Holy Names on the road on Monday, defeating the Hawks 85-74 to complete a perfect NorCal swing. Then, Rossow and the Eagles outscored rivals Concordia 54-45 in the second half on Saturday to come from behind for a 90-86 win and become the first PacWest team with 13 league wins this season.

Rossow put the game on his back late in the win over CUI. He'd finish with 31 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals over 40 minutes at a raucous CU Arena. His 9-for-11 free throw shooting was critical for Biola to avoid any surprises in the final minute-and-a-half.

It's been a remarkable final campaign for Rossow, who leads the league in assists and is currently fourth in scoring (18.1 ppg). This weekend he surpassed 1,000 points in a Biola uniform with his effort over CUI (1,006). He has 1,625 career points when considering his first two seasons at Southwest Baptist 

His scoring average is the best it's been in his time at Biola as his previous career-best is 13.7 back in the 2019-20 season. The uptick is thanks in large part to his tremendous efficiency. The point guard is third in the league with his .518 shooting percentage (145-for-280).

It's a massive week for the Eagles (13-3), who lead the league in wins but sit one game back from Azusa Pacific (11-2) and one game ahead of Point Loma (12-4) in the loss column. 

Biola hosts those two foes, looking to split the season series with each. Rossow and the Eagles welcome Point Loma at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Azusa Pacific at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
