January 10, 2022

IRVINE, Calif. --- 65 points through a pair of BU wins impressed the conference, as Chris Rossow nabbed the PacWest Player of the Week award. The Monday announcement featured a BU men's basketball player for the second time this season.

Biola improved its winning streak to three last week, taking down Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade in back-to-back road contests. Rossow led the Eagles to its best offensive output of 90 points against a PacWest opponent on Thursday against HPU.

Scoring came early and often for the senior, who started the week with a 32-point performance on Thursday. Free throws played a big role in his success, as Rossow gathered 10 points from the charity stripe in the win. The strong scoring output set a new career-high for Rossow but ultimately it would not last very long.

In Saturday's competition against Chaminade, Rossow took another step up with a new personal-best. The guard contributed 33 points, helping the Eagles take the win, 77-68. The three-pointers were falling for Rossow who hit a career-high seven long balls at a 87.5 percent clip.

Rossow made his presence felt in the overall offensive effort last week. 10 total assists led the conference, as Rossow leads the PacWest with 58 assists on the year. With eight assists on Thursday, Rossow played a role in 53 points for BU.

Rossow and the Eagles (11-2, 5-1 PacWest) will return to action later on Monday with a matchup at Hawaii Hilo at 4:00 pm PST.
