Full Final Schedules Released

BU men’s and women’s basketball squads have a full slate ahead of them for their respective 2021-22 campaigns.

August 25, 2021

LA MIRADA --- For the first time in what seems like forever, both the men's and women's basketball teams have a schedule that is not shortened or reduced. The two squads carry high hopes into the highly anticipated 2021-22 season.

October 23 marks the first action for either team with the men traveling to Hope International for a scrimmage and the women hosting an alumni game in Chase Gymnasium. Countable action begins on November 12 for both squads, as they each battle in cross-conference tournaments.

Women's basketball home opener is set for November 20 against Cal State San Bernardino. The team will host 13 games in the 2021-22 campaign, including a five-game homestand from January 18 to January 29.

PacWest play includes 20 matches, beginning with Fresno Pacific on December 2 at home. The BU squad is set for a trip to Hawaii to take on Hawaii Hilo, Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade from January 4 through January 8.

The postseason PacWest Tournament will be held from March 3 through March 5. The host school for the tournament has yet to be determined.

On the men's side, Biola is also set to open up in Chase Gymnasium on November 20 but they will face Cal Poly Pomona. The weekend contest is at the front of a six-game home streak for the Eagles. The final two games of the homestand will be the initial two PacWest games for BU with games against FPU on December 2 and Holy Names on December 4.

The 2021-22 schedule includes another significant home stretch with five-straight games in Chase Gymnasium from January 18-29. The long stretch comes at the heels of the team's trip to Hawaii alongside the women's squad from January 4 to January 8.

In a similar fashion to the women's team, MBB will enter the PacWest Tournament on March 3 with the championship set for March 5.

The BU squad will also be looking for a repeat appearance in the NCAA DII National Tournament in 2022. The regional competition will be played in the week of March 11 with the Elite Eight meeting in Evansville, Indiana to finish out the last three rounds of the tournament.
