LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Today, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 2020-2021 NABC Division II All-District teams which recognize the best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division. 

Recipients of the award are selected and voted on by my member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division II. A total of 89 student-athletes have been selected and honored as the top basketball players across the country. 

Having already been named to the All-PacWest Southern California Team, Alex Wright continues to add to his impressive resume. His most recent accolade comes from the NABC as he was named to the  NABC 2020-21 Division II All-District West Second Team.

Wright led the Eagles to their historic season which saw Head Coach Dave Holmquist earn his 1,000 career win as well as earning a trip to the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball West Region Championships. 

During the season, Wright led the team in points (227), rebounds (119), three-pointers (19), steals (17) and minutes played (531). During their post-season win against Fresno Pacific, Wright tallied 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Eagles. 

Wright's athletic talents shine bright on the court, but it's who he is off the court that continues to impress Head Coach Dave Holmquist. 

"Alex has been a joy to coach for the past three years. He's an excellent player but also a wonderful teammate," said Holmquist. "His spiritual depth and academic success, along with his basketball abilities, combine to make him a model Biola student athlete."

Wright will continue to be a role player for the Eagles both on and off the court. Many are excited to see what he will continue to accomplish for Holmquist and the program.
