THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. --- Biola Men's Tennis pulled off a clean sweep of Cal Lutheran Saturday afternoon at Poulson Tennis Center. Biola earned its first win against Cal Lutheran after facing them in four matches from 2007-2008, improving the Eagles to 1-4 against the Kingsmen.

The Eagles (2-2) received contributions from everyone in Head Coach David Goodman's lineup on Saturday afternoon. 

BU got off on the right foot taking all three doubles points. Isaac Cordova and Alex Seden earned BU's first point making quick work of Charlie Spina and Darvel Lossangoye (8-2). They were backed up by another quick match from partners Erik Martinez and Antonio Rosales Varona who took down their opponents 8-3. In the No. 1 spot, Alexei Prokopchuk and Sebastian Herrera took set one from CLU's Corey Karen and Jacob Bear 8-7. The match was close throughout, even through the tiebreaker as BU won 10-5. 

In singles play, Prokopchuk set the tone early in his matchup with Charlie Spina taking the first set 6-2. Spina would put up a good fight and force set two to finish 6-6, the match was unfinished due to the sun setting and no lights available at Poulson Tennis Center.

The first singles victory would come from Isaac Cordova, as Corey Karen put up a good fight in a 6-4 and 6-3 loss. Cordova was followed by a quick match from Alex Sedeno, defeating Darvel Lossangoye 6-1 in both sets. 

Andres Meneses and Erik Martinez would also go on to defeat their opponents. Meneses secured a pair of 6-2 victories while Martinez defeated Jacob Bear 6-2 and 6-4 earning the point for the Eagles. In the final singles match of the day Ian Nieh earned the win over Cal Lutheran's Ben Vincze 7-6-5, 6-0.

Saturday's win improves BU Men's Tennis to a 2-2 record on the season as they continue with PacWest play at home against Hawaii-Hilo on Mar. 5.
