LEWISTON, Mont. --- The path Jaden Graham is on today isn't the same one he initially chose coming out of Fergus High School. But that's because Graham is adamant about doing all he can to follow God's calling for Graham's career path and collegiate basketball career. 

A three-time all-conference and all-state selection in Montana, Graham initially committed to a Northern State University team in South Dakota that had advanced to the NCAA DII Men's Basketball National Championship game in 2018. 

But after a coaching change at NSU, and after receiving encouragement in his Christian faith from his family, Graham has elected to transfer to Biola, where he intends to prepare for a career in ministry while playing ball for an Eagles team that just advanced to the PacWest Tournament finals last week. 

"I chose Biola because I've just recently found the Lord and I want to have a very solid foundation for my faith so I can preach the true Gospel," said Graham. "I believe Biola can help me exponentially with my journey with the Lord. And I'm also excited on the athletic side to be on a team, and in a program, that above all we are playing to glorify God."
 
Graham was a three-time Class A All-Montana player at Fergus and helped the Golden Eagles advance to their first state tournament since 2002 with 16.4 points per game and 4.8 rebounds as a junior. Then Graham earned his second Great Falls Tribune Super-State recognition the following year with a 54 percent shooting, 19 points and six rebounds a game.
 
All told, the biblical studies major graduated as his high school's record holder in points, steals, blocks, field goal percentage and free throw percentage. And in addition to his three all-conference and all-state recognitions in basketball, Graham was a two-time all-state honoree in track & field, placing third at the Montana state meet in the high jump as a senior with a personal record leap of 6'4". 
 
Graham hopes his biblical studies degree at Biola will prepare him to preach God's Word with conviction and pastor people with compassion. He'll join the Eagles for the 2020-21 season and try to push them to an NCAA West Regional berth after enrolling at Biola for this coming Fall.
