PASADENA, Calif. --- For the second season in a row Biola Men's Basketball picked up a transfer from former PacWest foes, California Baptist. Joining his former teammate Alex Wright is four-year Lancer Marquise Mosley.

Mosley played 65 games his first two years at CBU, averaging around 15 minutes-per-game. He sat out his third season with injury before returning to appear in 28 games last season, the Lancers' first NCAA Division I campaign.

His experience in collegiate athletics will be critical for the 2019-20 Biola Eagles - a very young group of players with zero returning players entering their senior season. During his time at CBU he scored almost 400 points and had around 1,300 minutes on the floor for Coach Rick Croy.

Mosley's experience in the PacWest Conference tournament will be a big plus for Biola. He helped CBU win the tournament title as a freshman in 2015-16 and was also there for return trips in 2016-17 and 2017-18. The Lancers lost the title game to Dixie State during Mosley's medical redshirt year in 17-18.

"The reason why I chose Biola is because of the amazing opportunities the school has to offer," said Mosley. "I am excited to be apart of the men's basketball team at Biola because of the culture they have."

Mosley attended the Renaissance Academy for high school. If that sounds familiar to Biola fans, that's because it's the high school of recent Biola graduate Steve Herve. Mosley's family has been Herve's host family since he came to America from Cameroon.

He was a four-year varsity player and three-time captain for the Wildcats of Renaissance Academy. Mosley led his team to CIF Championships during his freshman and junior seasons and earned three All-CIF selections. He earned all-state first team honors as a junior and also has his name in the school's record books after going off for a 49-point game.

The redshirt senior comes to Biola as a kinesiology major with hopes of a professional basketball career overseas. He's originally from Pasadena, California.
