December 09, 2019

LA MIRADA, Calif.
--- It's official. The PacWest Conference has been put on notice with regard to Stephanie Lee and the freshman guard's sharp-shooting ability. The Brea-native scored 21 points on six three-pointers in Biola's dominant road win over Dominican on Saturday and subsequently earned her third-straight PacWest Freshman of the Week award from the Conference Office on Monday.

Lee has now earned PacWest Freshman of the Week in four of the first five weeks of the women's basketball season. And the efforts she and her teammates put into grabbing two road wins to start conference play resulted in the Eagles receiving votes in the latest D2SIDA Women's Basketball Regional Poll.

The guard averaged 12.5 points per game last week and led all PacWest players with seven three-pointers on the week. But she recorded the bulk of her numbers from beyond the arc against the Penguins on Saturday, draining her first six three-attempts and making all three of her free throws to score 21 points before the fourth quarter started.

Lee also picked up four rebounds to help the Eagles build a 40-point lead after three periods and finished 6-for-7 from three to move up to third in the PacWest with 18 made three-pointers.

Head Coach Alan Nakamura's team start the week with a six-game winning streak and have two more PacWest games ahead of them before Finals Week. The Eagles will host Hawaii Hilo on Tuesday before traveling to Point Loma to play the Sea Lions on Saturday at 2 p.m.
