BIOLA vs CAL STATE LA // Friday, 6 p.m. // live stats // live stream ($)
Biola is 14-9 against the Golden Eagles all-time but has lost the last two meetings. Cal State LA was ranked fifth of 13 teams in the CCAA preseason poll after going on a tear in conference player beginning in January in which the Golden Eagles won nine of 11 CCAA games. The CCAA opponent returns one double-digit scorer in 5-5 guard Christina Delapina, who averaged 10.2 points per game a year ago, and an up-and-coming junior center in Rebeccah DiRegolo.

BIOLA vs CSU Dominguez Hills // Saturday, 6 p.m. // live stats // live stream ($)
Dominguez Hills has a 28-17 advantage in all-time meetings with Biola, most recently defeating the Eagles at Chase Gymnasium two years ago by a score of 69-68. The Toros went 13-15 a year ago and an even 11-11 in CCAA play, leading them to a seventh-place ranking in the CCAA poll. Cal State Dominguez Hills is experienced, with 11 upperclassmen on its roster, but lost its two leading scorers from a year ago. Heaven Holmes is the only remaining double-digit scorer on the roster and the next-best returner averaged just over three points a game in 2017-18.

COACH'S THOUGHTS:
"In a lot of ways we're going to be starting anew this year. We've graduated some student-athletes who have been key players for us the last three seasons. And now it's an opportunity for the other players to step up after helping in us supporting roles before," said Head Coach Alan Nakamura. "So we're paying less attention to the preseason ranking because we're more excited to see how we're going to come together and face the challenge of the season."
