LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Everything is trending up for Biola Basketball heading into this weekend's massive showdown with Azusa Pacific. The Eagles won twice last week and Isaiah Jones was named PacWest Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.

Jones helped Biola to a 68-67 win over Holy Names and a 60-52 victory over Notre Dame de Namur in his first full week as a member of the starting rotation.

The freshman was stellar as he continued to bump up his season shooting percentage, which now sits at .592, which is good enough for second in the PacWest Conference. He scored 14 points in both of the wins and added nine rebounds in the first contest and six in the second. He also sits inside of the top-10 in the PacWest in rebounds-per-game this season at 7.3.

He stepped up big time with his insertion into the starting lineup, playing at least 32 minutes in each game on the road trip so far. That's a large increase as he was averaging between 15-23 for most of the rest of the season.

This is Jones' second conference honor of the season as he also won the award back in mid-November.

He and the Eagles finish off their NorCal roadtrip at Academy of Art tonight at 7:30 p.m. and then host Azusa Pacific Saturday in the massive Cornerstone Cup matchup that renews the schools' storied basketball rivalry.
