YUCAIPA, Calif. --- Biola Eagles add another local product as Tanner Dutchover commits to the cross country and track & field teams. Dutchover is coming off a four-year varsity career at Yucaipa High School.
 
"I have known Tanner for several years now as I have coached his older brother and sister. He comes from an outstanding family that I have really enjoyed knowing over the years," said Head Coach Sean Henning. "Tanner has a lot of talent and has had a solid senior year so far. Just like his siblings, he is very intelligent and is a student of the sport. He cares deeply about his spiritual growth and will really value that part of his experience here at Biola. He will fit in well with the personality of our team and will be a part of a very strong class of freshmen distance runners next fall. I'm excited to have him here as we transition to the NCAA level."
 
Dutchover was a standout runner at the high school level, earning four individual league championships and four team MVP awards during his work in cross country and track season.
 
He helped his team to seven league championships and four CIF berths all while graduating in the top five percent of his class.
 
Dutchover was a high honors graduate who completed his high school coursework with a 4.3 cumulative grade point average. He plans to study Spanish when he arrives at Biola.
 
Two of his siblings, Tyler and Tori, competed under coach Henning at PacWest rival school California Baptist University.
 
"[I chose Biola to] meet new Christians and continue in my faith," said Dutchover.
