IRVINE, Calif. --- Biola wrapped up a busy week with a tough match against No. 5 Concordia University, falling 9-0 in a GSAC match on Saturday afternoon.
Biola drops to 0-5 on the season and to 0-3 in GSAC play while Concordia moves to 2-4 and to 2-1 in the conference.
The best match of the afternoon came at No. 4 singles where Susan Carmichael played to three sets against Summer Beaird. After Beaird swept the first set 6-0, Carmichael fought back and won the second set 6-3. In the short tiebreaker, Beaird was able to pull away late and won 10-6.
Biola returns home on Friday, hosting first-year program Arizona Christian University in a GSAC match at 3:30 p.m.
