Box Score RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Andre Murillo came out and proved why he was missed all last season; the senior forward tacked on 23 points and a big 21 rebounds in Biola's 74-61 win over La Sierra.
 
The big win pushed Biola to 4-3 on the season and dropped the Golden Eagles to 2-5.
 
The Eagles jumped out to an immediate eight-point lead as Murillo scored five points and picked up two assists in the first six minutes to put Biola in the driver's seat with a 13-5 lead.
 
A quick run by the Golden Eagles made the game competitive again, and the two teams stayed within two points of one another for the remainder of the first half. The Eagles actually went into the half with a one-point deficit.
 
The Eagles were unable to hold onto their lead due to an inability to sink the ball from the field in the first half, as they shot just 29 percent from the floor. They did see a positive impact at the free throw line, making nine of ten first frame free throws.
 
Biola completely dominated the second half, outscoring LSU 44-30 to take control of the game and extend their winning streak to three.
 
The game was all about Murillo's dominating performance on the hardwood. He spent a season-high 36 minutes on the floor and only picked up two fouls on his way to his fourth double-double of the season.
 
He shot just eight f 14 from the floor, but was a perfect seven of seven from the free throw line, helping the Eagles to an 18-23 performance from the charity stripe.
 
Pierre Zook and Mike Kurtz both joined Murillo with double-digit scoring outputs of their own. Kurtz had his second straight game with 15 or more points, and Zook tacked on 11.
 
The Golden Eagles will have a chance to avenge their defeat when they come to La Mirada to face BU on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.
