Box Score IRVINE, Calif. --- Biola ran into a wall of a back line against Concordia, and despite maintaining even possession fell 2-0 to CUI to fall to 2-5-1 in a tough Golden State Athletic Conference season.
The Eagles faced some stiff competition in No. 11 Concordia, as CUI entered and left the match without a loss this season to remain atop the standings in the GSAC.
Megan Daniels had a whale of a game from the Eagles of Irvine, scoring both goals in Megan Ferry's second shutout of the season.
CUI's back line made all the difference as they held Biola to just six shots, two on goal, in a game that was pretty close in all other categories, including fouls, corner kicks and offside calls.
BU began the year with six quick wins to enter GSAC play 6-2, but they have been outscored 9-0 in all but their two wins since conference play began.
The loss drops Biola to 8-7-1 overall and improve Concordia to 12-0-3 (7-0-1 GSAC) as they keep just two points ahead of Westmont atop the conference.
Biola next takes the field at home on Tuesday against Arizona Christian. The 7 p.m. game is BU's senior night, and they take on an ACU squad they defeated 6-0 earlier in the year.
