Mike Kurtz and Dakota Anderson each had 12 points with Kurtz adding eight rebounds and three blocks.

They would stretch the lead to as many as eight at 29-21 before Biola rallied. Cody Wittick and Anderson hit back-to-back three-pointers to cut the deficit to one and a put-back basket by Kurt with 15 seconds left in the half tied the game at 36-36 at the halftime.
The second half was a back-and-forth affair with the Spartans leading through the first 10 minutes. With William Jessup leading 53-49, Biola went on a quick 11-0 run over a three minute stretch with Anderson scoring six of those points.
The Eagles still held a five-point lead on a bucket by Cline which made it a 66-61 game with 3:25 to go. William Jessup cut into the lead with a basket by Marquis Robinson scoring a put-back with 2:02 left. After a pair of missed chances by the Eagles, the Warriors made it a one-point game with free throws by Ben Chung.
Biola would turn the ball over on its next possession and that gave William Jessup four shots over the final minute to take the lead. However, all four shots missed their mark and Cline pulled down a key rebound with four seconds left and was fouled.
He hit the first free throw to extend the lead to two, but missed the second. The Warriors quickly pushed the ball up the court and Keenan Prince took an off-balance runner from NBA three-point range. The desperation shot fell short and Biola escaped with the two-point victory.
Biola shot a solid 50 percent in the contest, hitting 25-of-50 in the contest including 6-of-12 from three-point range. The Warriors hit 42.3 percent (22-52).
