RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Biola battled back from an early deficit to tie the game in the sixth, but ultimately could not keep the Concordia offense off the board, falling 11-8 and suffering its first loss in the double-elimination GSAC Tournament on Wednesday night.
Biola, which falls to 34-19 on the season, faces Point Loma Nazarene University for the second time in the tournament in an elimination game on Thursday at Noon. But Concordia rallied with three runs in the seventh and two in the eighth to pull away for the victory.

Drake Fages,
Mac Sullivan singled to right center, scoring Farrington and moving Fages to third.
Brian Loard then cut the lead in half with a sacrifice fly to make it 4-2.

Turner held Concordia off the board in the sixth and Biola rewarded him by tying the score in the bottom of the frame.
Johnny Farrington led off the inning by reaching on a dropped fly ball, advancing to second on the error. Lopez sacrificed him to third with a perfect bunt. One out later,
Michael Andrews came up with a clutch hit, singling to left to tie the game at 6-6.
Turner talked his way back into the game despite throwing over 100 pitches, but the move did not pay off. The first two batters in the inning reached, the first on a single and the second on a double. Robbie Knowles then doubled off the right field fence to drive home one with the second run coming around on an errant throw from the outfield. Concordia would add one more in the inning to make it 9-6.

Biola added two runs in the bottom of the ninth as Fages reached on an error and
Garrett Leon belted a two-run home run to account for the final scoring.
Concordia's victory was its first over Biola in the last seven games between the two. Biola won the final two games of the four-game GSAC series in 2010, then swept the series this season.
Biola now must win four games over the final two days to take home the GSAC Tournament title. That road begins with a rematch against Point Loma Nazarene University on Thursday. The Eagles defeated the Sea Lions 5-3 in the first game for both teams on Tuesday. Point Loma Nazarene eliminated top-seed California Baptist with a 10-3 win earlier in the day.
