The Eagles, ranked No. 8 in the latest NAIA National Rankings, improve to 24-5 on the season and remain in a tie for second in the GSAC with a record of 15-4. The Royals fall to 12-17, 4-15 in the conference.

With Hope leading 8-7 in the early going, Biola rattled off a long 21-1 run over the next seven minutes to take a 28-9 lead with eight minutes left in the period. However, the Royals stuck with the Eagles over the remainder of the period and cut the lead to 14 at the break.
In the second period, though, Biola broke the game open with a 10-0 run to take a commanding 26-point lead at 55-29 seven minutes in. The Eagles would stretch the lead to as many as 32, though a late run by Hope would account for the final 17-point differential.
No Biola player was on the court for more than 25 minutes, giving the team a chance to rest up with its final home game on Thursday.
Lauren Salazar scored 13 points to lead Hope while Kasey Philyaw and Crystal Vazquez added 11 points each.
Biola held its 10th opponent under 30 percent shooting (27.6 percent), dropping its NAIA-best opposing shooting percentage to 32.8 percent. Much of Hope's offense came from three-point range where the Royals maade nine three-pointers as compared to just seven buckets from inside the arc.
The Eagles close out the regular season on Thursday with a home GSAC game against Point Loma Nazarene beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Chase Gymnasium. Biola will honor its five seniors in a ceremony at halftime of the men's game. The Eagles will then host a first-round GSAC playoff game on Wednesday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m. Biola's opponent is still to be determined.
