BOX SCORE

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. --- Seniors Ashley Moseley and Kahlie Reinecke teamed up on the final goal of their collegiate careers as Biola played to a 1-1 draw at The Master's College in a GSAC match to close out the 2009 season on Saturday.

The Eagles wrap up the campaign with a 6-6-3 overall record and post a 2-6-2 mark in conference play. The Mustangs end the regular season at 12-4-2 and 5-4-1 in the GSAC, but lost out on a home playoff game with the tie.

Moseley scored the goal just nine minutes into the match, receiving an assist by Reinecke. The goal gave Biola an early 1-0 lead over the Mustangs.

However, The Master's answered back with the tying goal just six minutes later as Emily Bruton scored off a rebound in the box to knot the score at 1-1.

The Master's fought hard to get the extra two points with the win, but Biola goalkeeper Erin Frushon held off the charge by making an impressive 11 saves while facing 19 shots to preserve the tie. The Eagles were outshot 19-7 overall in the match, but a great defensive effort helped them finish the season with back-to-back ties over NAIA Top 30 teams.

Biola finishes with a 6-6-3 record, the most wins by the team since the 2006 season. In games in which the Eagles scored at least one goal, they were 6-1-3 overall, but were 0-5-0 in matches in which they were held scoreless.

Biola also recorded 21 goals on the season, the most since tallying 23 in 2006. Moseley led the team with seven goals while junior Sam David recorded six.

Frushon and the Biola defense held opponents to just 14 goals and a 0.88 goals against average.
