After a relatively quiet first game on Monday night a beast awakened inside of Samantha Verduzco through Biola Women's Soccer's final two games of opening week as she buried four goals on just six shots and helped the Eagles complete a 2-0-1 week.

Verduzco carried Biola's offense to a 2-2 tie against No. 2 Northwestern Ohio on Thursday night and got two more tallies in Saturday's 5-0 win at Antelope Valley.

With her four goals in opening week, Verduzco already has more goals and more points than she accumulated during her 19 appearances during her freshman season in 2014.

She figures to be a big part of No. 22 Biola's offense moving into the remainder of the season, and the other teams in the Golden State Athletic Conference better begin to fear this solid sophomore.

Verduzco and the Eagles begin the week with a scrimmage on Wednesday night before a big showdown with CSU San Marcos at home on Saturday afternoon.
