Liz Munger and the Biola Women's Basketball team had just one job during the week of Jan. 26 through Feb. 1, and that was to beat William Jessup. They did just that, and handily, thanks in large part to a superb performance by Munger.
The senior forward had arguably her best outing of the season on Thursday night, dropping in 13 points while picking up a season-best 16 rebounds. The 16 boards were the most any Eagle has recorded in a single game this season.
Munger has been on point all season long in an enhanced role as a starter. She's averaging 9.9 points-per-game, third-best on the team, and has upped her rebounds-per-game mark to 6.4 per outing. She's now just nine rebounds behind Chelsea Hill for the team-lead.
Munger's solid performance helped the Eagles to a 72-44 victory over the Warriors, a win which snapped a four-game losing streak and helped Biola to its third win of January, after averaging five wins in each month through November and December.
Biola's late season schedule continues on Tuesday with a road game against Arizona Christian (4-18, 0-9 GSAC) and a Saturday road battle with San Diego Christian (8-13, 4-5 GSAC).
