Kimmy Triolo lowered her team-leading ERA to 1.26 this week, appearing in all four games as Biola got a 3-1 record in conference against William Jessup and No. 8 Concordia. Triolo pitched a little over half of the total number of innings pitched she began the week with (13.1) and did not allow a single earned run.
She went 2-1 with the tough-luck loss in game two of the doubleheader at Concordia. She threw 4.1 innings in relief in that outing, allowing just three hits and getting one out away from a win, before unearned runs led to an extra-inning loss.
In her other three outings, the sophomore compiled exactly 9.0 innings, picked up two wins and allowed just three hits while surrendering zero runs, earned or unearned.
She's continued to blossom as the season progresses and now is just three innings shy of having the second-most innings pitched on the team this year. While her strikeout numbers are down as of late, just four this week, her effectiveness continues to rise.Â
She and the team have just two games this week, a road doubleheader at San Diego Christian on Tuesday.
