Sierra Bauder was the standout player during Biola Volleyball's first week. The senior middle blocker had her best match in recent memory when she led the Eagles to a 3-2 victory over Dixie State in the season-opener.

In that match she had 18 kills, which is just one off her career-best of 19, set vs. Point Loma last season. To get those 18 kills she needed just 28 swings and managed to hit .500 for the match. She recorded four blocks in each of the Eagles' first three matches and helped the team to a 2-1 start in their play at the Fairfield Inn Invitationa.

Bauder leads the team with 38 kills and her cumulative hitting percentage of .351 is by far best on the team. She added a handful of digs and six successful serves to lead Biola with over 45 total points through the first week of action. 

She and the Eagles will face four ranked programs during their second weekend of play at the NCAA Division II West Region Showcase.
