After scoring her second game-winning goal of the season this past Saturday, Sarah Jeffries has been named Athlete of the Week.

With five minutes left and the score tied 1-1, Jeffries connected with fellow forward Sam Verduzco to push the ball inside the far right post. Jeffries’ goal elevated the Eagles to a 4-0 record and earned them the distinction of being the only undefeated PacWest team headed into conference play.

This is the first time Jeffries has been named Athlete of the Week. She and the Eagles travel to St. George, Utah to take on the Dixie State Trailblazers in their first PacWest contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
