Alec de Watteville has had a great season for Head Coach Jay Sullenger in 2016, but for him, and the Eagles, the week between March 6-11 was by far the best.
The team won four of its five games and charged closer to the .500 mark than it has been since the beginning of February. De Watteville had a lot to do with the team's success as he was absolutely torrid at the plate and played a fantastic shortstop all week long.
De Watteville had two separate 5-RBI games to give him his team-leading total of 10 RBI on the week. He slugged a team-best .842 while knocking his team-leading fifth and sixth homeruns of the season. He also scored five runs, which was second only to Aaron Chavez and JD Meyer's total of six. His nine hits were also good for second-most on the squad, behind only Chavez's 10.
The junior shortstop recorded at least one hit in all five outings this week, including one three-hit 5-RBI game against Dallas Christian and another identical performance against the Eagles' weekend foe, Arizona Christian.
The now-12-16 Eagles host No. 10 The Master's College for an integral Golden State Athletic Conference series this weekend.
