2012-13
• Finished in first place in the 200-freestyle relay against Azusa Pacific (1:41.77)
• Placed 28^th in the 50-freestyle and 39^th in the 100-freestyle at the NAIA national meet
• Participated in all 12 meets for the Eagles
 
HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped two years on varsity at Perry HS in Chandler, Ariz., graduating in 2011
• Spent one year at HS in Malawi and one in Mississippi
• Awam all four years with the Malawi national team garnering over 20 medals
• Named the swimmer of the year as a sophomore
• Most valuable swimmer as a freshman
• Also played basketball and ran track as a freshman
 
PERSONAL
• Born Sept. 22, 1991 to Paul and Laura Chinchen
• Has four siblings (Ashley, Levi, Bess and Vanndel)
• Her uncle, Steve Spencer, played baseball at Biola. Her cousin, Spencer Chinchen, played soccer here. Her cousins, David and Jon-Jon Spencer played golf for Covenant College and her cousin, Nell Spencer, plays tennis for Laterno.
• She has 10 relatives who have attended, or are attending, Biola.
• Majoring in intercultural studies with the goal of working for United Nations in Africa
• She enjoys photography and traveling to new countries
• Favorite Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 4:18
• Why I Love Biola: “I love Biola because this has been an instrument that God has used to bring me closer to Him. Biola has been a place of growth for me and a place I get even more excited to come back to year after year.”
