Moriah Joyner joined Head Coach Erin Brunelle's coaching staff in fall 2020 to help steer Biola Women's Soccer through it's Spring 2021 season and beyond.
Joyner comes to Biola having earned her B.S. from the University of Southern California and a M.S. from the University of Nottingham. She is married to Jadon Joyner, who is an assistant coach with Biola Track & Field.
Joyner played soccer for NCAA Division I USC from 2013-17, where she was a Pac-12 All-Academic selection and helped lead her team to the NCAA Division I Championship in 2016. The Trojans beat No. 1-ranked West Virginia 3-1 in the championship game to earn USC's second national title.
Joyner (née Earley), a defender, played 40 matches for the Trojans, logging over 700 minutes played and picking up an assist during her senior season. She was always stellar student, earning prestigious CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.
She is a local to Biola, attending La Serna High School prior to her standout career at USC. During high school she helped her team to a CIF Division 5 title (2013) while playing soccer and participating in track & field.
Previous coaching responsibilities include La Serna High School Assistant Coach (2018-present), AC Brea Soccer Assistant Coach (2018-present).
Her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:33 and she came to Biola because of the "faith and fellowship".
