Savannah Madrid-Andrews

Savannah Madrid-Andrews joins Biola in the 2021-22 campaign as the lead assistant coach for the women’s basketball squad.

Madrid-Andrews was most recently a part of a successful program at Northfield High School. She played an integral role in player development as the Assistant Varsity Coach, helping the team to the 2021 playoffs.

In addition to her position on the girl’s basketball team, Madrid-Andrews has also held the role of head strength and conditioning coach and player development coach. Savannah also earned an associates degree in 2017 from Otero Junior College and a Bachelor’s of Science in health and human performance from Oklahoma Baptist in 2019. 

The Denver, Colorado native put together a decorated playing career on the court. Savannah began her collegiate career and made a splash at Otero Junior College. The guard was dominant in Region IX, earning First Team Region IX All-Conference and Region IX All-Tournament Team honors. Madrid-Andrews also found success in the classroom, making the Dean’s List in 2017 and 2018.

In her high school career, Savannah offered an exceptional senior season. Awards flooded in for Savannah in 2014, including DPS Female Student-Athlete of the Year, Touching Hearts Through Sports Sportsmanship Award, 3 Sport Athlete of the Year, First Team All-State, First Team All-Conference and First Team All-Tournament. Madrid-Andrews also helped her team to a pair of Elite 8 and one state playoff appearances.

Savannah loves the family-feel environment at Biola and enjoys collecting sneakers.
