Grace Ricafranca

After years of high school coaching experience Grace Ricafranca joined Dr. Bethany Miller's women's basketball staff in the 2014-15 season. She remained on staff with new head coach Alan Nakamura and enters her fifth season with the program in 2018-19.

Ricafranca graduated from Biola with a B.S. in business management, and earned her M.A. in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2016.

She started her coaching career at Los Altos High School, and later served as head coach at Whittier Christian High School.

As a player at Los Altos High School, Ricafranca earned All-League, Most Inspirational, and Lady Conqueror of the Year. In addition, she also received the Miramonte 5 award which is awarded to the top 5 student-athletes of each campus who display citizenship and leadership both on and off campus.

Her favorite Bible passage is Romans 5:6-8.

She chose to coach at Biola because, "Biola is home to me. This university and basketball program have done so much for me in my growth as a believer, manager, and coach. I am grateful to have the opportunity to give back, and learn as much as possible. I am looking forward to the opportunity of working under a program with so much integrity, heart and passion. I’m grateful to be here and hope to continue to make an impact for the glory of God.”

Ricafranca's responsibilities with the women's basketball team include position work with the guards, recruiting, scouting reports, academic support, integration of players into the university community, technology, video exchange, and basketball operations.
