Emily joined Head Coach Dr. Bethany Miller's staff prior to the 2014-15 women's basketball season. She graduated from Biola in 2012 with a B.A. in English and a minor in business and is currently working towards a Master's Degree.
She was a member of Biola Women's Basketball from 2008-12 and served as a two-year starter at shooting guard. She averaged nine points and 4.9 rebounds during her senior campaign.
Ravenscraft, formerly Drews, stood out because of her talent and character off the court, winning Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District recognition and the NAIA Champion of Charachter honor at nationals. She was a member of the first-ever Biola Women's Basketball squad to make it to the NAIA National Quarterfinals.
Ravenscraft was a two-sport star in high school, participating in varsity basketball and volleyball.Â
Outside of coaching she serves as an English teacher for 7th and 8th grade students at Salem Lutheran School of Orange.
She married her husband, Jacob, on Oct. 20, 2012. He serves as a youth pastor at Calvary Church of Santa Ana.
Ravenscraft enjoys running, wakeboarding, playing sports and spending time with family. Her favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 4:32-5:2.
She chose to come back to Biola because, "I love that Biola challenges students, staff and faculty to live a Christ-centered life, glorifying God with our gifts and talents."
