• Competed four varsity seasons at Bellevue Christian School in Clyde Hill, Wash., while playing water polo through Interlake High School
• Set the Interlake single-season scoring record three times, finishing with 430 career goals (school record)
• Scored 87 goals as a freshman, 104 as a sophomore, 115 as a junior, and 124 as a senior
• Helped his team to a Division 2 runner-up finish in 2022 and first-ever Washington State Championship appearance, later promoted to Division 1
• Guided Interlake to back-to-back Division 1 state championship appearances in 2023 and 2024
• Named First-Team All-League in both Division 2 and Division 1, with honorable mention All-State recognition from 2022–2024
• Also competed in swimming and track & field, qualifying for state in multiple relays and earning top county finishes
• Recipient of academic department awards in math, visual arts, physical education, and physics
PERSONAL
• Born August 14, 2006 to Jonathan and Kendra Bengelink
• Plans to major in engineering physics and hopes to excel both academically and athletically while deepening his faith and building community at Biola
• Has two older brothers, Jakob and Philip, both of whom competed in collegiate track & field
• Mother, Kendra, was a three-sport collegiate athlete and a three-time All-American in javelin at Calvin University, where she still holds the school record
• Enjoys cubing and playing kendama
