Joel Novick

Joel joined Head Coach Brent Worthington's staff prior to the 2015 men's tennis season. He joined the staff immediately following a four-year career at Washington College, where he was named team MVP and captain among other honors.

He also earned a B.A. in political science from Washington, graduating in 2014. He's got two twin brothers, Jeremy and Zachary, that followed him in the men's tennis program at Washington.

Novick helped the Eagles achieve single-season program bests in wins during both the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Under the guidance of he and Head Coach Brent Worthington the Eagles achieved 10 and 11 wins in those two years, respectively. It was the first time in program history that the team reached double-digit victories.

In addition to his team honors, he also earned some school-wide and national recognition as a student-athlete. These honors include three ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition and a ITA doubles championship. Novick also earned the school's Alfred Reddish award for the senior male student-athlete with the highest GPA and the Sho'men Club award for the student-athlete with the most contribution to the Washington College Athletic Department.

In high school Novick earned a regional Top-15 ranking while graduating Magna Cum Laude with honors.

His past coaching experience includes time spent as a PTR certified tennis instructor,

When not coaching he enjoys fitness and watching sports. His favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:13.

He came to Biola because, "It has excellent academics and people."
