Frank Ramirez

Frank Ramirez

Frank Ramirez joined Biola Athletics in August of 2016 as the University's first full-time Director of Sport Performance/strength & conditioning coach.

Ramirez joins the Biola family after accumulating years of experience at the NCAA D-I, junior college and high school levels. His biggest piece of experience was his work as an assistant strength & conditioning coach at Long Beach State from 2010-16.

During his time at The Beach, Ramirez worked with the men’s and women's track & field, golf and water polo. He also worked with the head strength & conditioning coach to develop plans for basketball, volleyball and baseball.

His experience reaches much wider than the NCAA Division I level though, as Ramirez has also worked as the head strength & conditioning coach for programs at Warren High School and La Mirada High School. In 2015 he helped the Matadores win the CIF-II State Basketball Championship.

Ramirez graduated from Long Beach State University in 2010 and holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology with emphasis in exercise science. He has his Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification and is also a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.

Prior to entering his career as a strength & conditioning coach Ramirez was an assistant basketball coach (2007-2009) and played for LA Harbor College from 2005-07.

Ramirez resides in Brea, California and attends Cottonwood Church.
