Ryan Crowe head shot

Ryan Crowe

Ryan Crowe joins Head Coach Jeff Calhoon's dugout staff as an assistant coach ahead of the 2020 season and brings winning experience from two of Biola's former conference peers, Westmont and Hope International.

Crowe previously played under Calhoon at Westmont, where Crowe earned All-GSAC selection in 2015 as a catcher and was named a preseason NAIA All-American ahead of the 2016 season. Crowe started 36 games for Westmont without making an error as the Warriors set a program record for wins and qualified for the NAIA National Championship.

He concluded his playing career at Hope International, where he helped the Royals win the GSAC tournament and quaify for Nationals. As a coach, Crowe is coming off a 2019 CIF Football Championship with his high school alma mater, San Juan Hills. Crowe assisted the football team at SJH from 2016 to 2019 and the baseball team from 2017 to 2018.

Coach Crowe is excited to rejoin his former coach: "Throughout my playing career Coach Calhoon was a significant influence in my life both athletically and spiritually. Having the opportunity to continue to learn from Jeff is an opportunity I could not say no to."
