Mark Lindsay

Mark Lindsay joined the Biola Baseball coaching staff for the 2019 season after playing four collegiate seasons at NCAA Div. II San Francisco State and three years of professional baseball with the San Rafael Pacifics. Lindsay also served as a hitting coach and catching instructor at Pomona-Pitzer from 2017 to 2018 and was a vounteer assistant at University of La Verne in 2016.

Lindsay was a four-time all-conference catcher at San Francisco State, where was the Gators' all-time leader in hits (213), gamed played (192) and at-bats. He also currently ranks sixth all-time in walks and 10th in RBI's. The Upland, California-resident became the first San Francisco State baseball player ever to win the CCAA Freshman of the Year award in 2012 before becoming a two-time SF State Male Athlete of the Year.

He graduated from San Francisco State in 2015 and is currently enrolled in a Masters program at Concordia University Irvine.

After his collegiate playing days, Lindsay coached a ninth-round draft pick in Tanner Nishioka in 2017 and helped the Sagehens to a conference tournament berth in 2018 before winning the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Championship with the San Rafael Pacifics.

Lindsay's responsibilities at Biola revolve around recruiting, hitting and catching. He was drawn to the University because of the history of the baseball program, the progressive mentality of the athletic program and the eternal mindset present in a Christian community.
