Jonathan Munoz joined Head Coach Jay Sullenger's Biola Baseball coaching staff the summer of 2018. He comes to Biola after completing his education and collegiate baseball career at UC Irvine.
Munoz was a member of the Anteaters' squad from 2013-16 and went to the College World Series with UCI in 2014. He was an All-Big West first team honoree and all-region second team member that season.
He graduated with degrees in criminology, law & society and psychology and social behavior in 2015 and added a M.A.S. in Criminology, Law & Society in 2017.
He served as the head coach at Whittier Christian High School in 2017-18 and led the Heralds to a playoff appearance and third-place finish.
Munoz is related to Ruth Munoz, who currently plays for Biola on the softball team. Aside from coaching, he enjoys playing piano, guitar and golfing.
He joined the Biola staff because he believes it's "a great staff that has its priorities straight."
