Chad Castillo

Chad Castillo joined the Biola baseball staff in the fall of 2025 as the Director of Player Development.

Castillo came to Biola after spending time in professional baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies organization from 2022-2024 before playing with the Glacier Range Riders in 2025.

Castillo played collegiate baseball at California Baptist University from 2019-2022, where he was a four-year starter for the Lancers. During his collegiate career, Castillo appeared in 179 games and hit .354 with 245 hits, 44 doubles, 17 home runs and 135 RBIs. He earned Freshman All-American honors in 2019 along with multiple all-conference and all-region selections during his career. Castillo also helped lead CBU to WAC Regular Season Championships in 2019 and 2021.

Following his collegiate career, Castillo signed with the Philadelphia Phillies organization, where he played in 106 games with 15 home runs and 50 RBIs. He later joined the Glacier Range Riders and earned Pioneer League All-Star honors after hitting .352 with 11 home runs and 89 RBIs.

Castillo graduated from California Baptist University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2022.

When asked why he chose Biola, Castillo stated, “It was an opportunity to learn from Coach Rodgers and develop my coaching skills in an extremely competitive conference. It was also a university similar to what I experienced in college from a religious standpoint, which gave me comfort and shared values with the coaching staff and players.”
