• Appeared in one meet during his second season with the Eagles
• Earned Academic All-PacWest honors
• Also recognized with D2ADA Academic Achievement Award
• Set a collegiate best with a 4:43.12 mile in the Biola vs. La Verne dual meet, placing 2nd

2018
• Appeared in eight meets during his first season at Biola
• Ran the 5k in four of those meets, setting his season-best at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival (15:29.92)
• Earned Academic All-PacWest honors

HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped at Brea Olinda High School in Brea, Calif., graduating in 2017
• Named team captain for the Cross Country team in 2016
• Earned Most Inspirational Award as a freshman
• Named All-League in 2016 and 2017
• Won Frosh-Soph XC League Championship sophomore year
• Varsity Cross Country League Champion
• Named Brea Cross Country MVP and Cross Country Crestview League MVP as a senior
• As a team they were named the Orange County Varsity XC Sweepstakes Champions in 2014, Varsity XC League Champions all four years
• Three-time D3 CIF XC Champions, Runner-up CIF Champions in 2016, two-time D3 XC State Champions, and Mt. Sac XC Varsity Sweepstakes Champions three years in a row
• As a senior he was the champion at Track and Field Varsity League in 3200 and qualified for CIF Finals in the 3200 
• Awarded Track and Field Most Inspirational Award as a senior
• Ranked 3rd all time in school history for 3 miles at 14:44
• Named Track and Field Boys Varsity League Champions in 2017
• Honored with the Golden state seal diploma, Brea Olinda and Century Conference Scholar Athlete Award for both XC and Track and Field all four years
• Made the Principle's List Honor Roll four times

PERSONAL
• Born Nov. 8, 1998 to Joe and Linnea Perez
• Has three siblings (Joseph, Julia, Michael)
• Majoring in Business Administration in order to work in the city government
• Enjoys collecting baseball cards and playing video games
• Favorite Bible Verse: John 18:37
• Why I Chose Biola: "I wanted to be in a Christ-centered community where I could study and focus my education and athletic career around God.
