• Prepped four varsity seasons at Martin Luther King, Jr. HS in Riverside, Calif., graduating in 2013
• Also ran track and played soccer for the Wolves
• Was the freshman MVP and all-freshman first team in Riverside county
• Voted the most valuable runner in 2012 and most improved runner in 2011
• Team was a CIF Division I Finalist during his sophomore season
• Named All-Big VIII first team and all-county as a junior and senior
