Biola Duo Named ACWPC All-Americans

Pidd’s dominant sophomore season and Luna’s historic freshman year earned the duo national honors

LA MIRADA --- The Biola women's water polo team earned two All-America Honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).

Gwendolyn Pidd was named to the ACWPC All-America First Team after an incredible sophomore season. Pidd appeared in 29 games, finishing the season leading the Eagles in goals, points, steals and field blocks. She converted 54% of her shot attempts, logging 67 goals. Pidd also accrued 14 assists, 29 steals and 10 field blocks.

Fernanda Luna was named to the ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention team after a record-breaking freshman year. Luna started 26 of the 29 games she played in. As the primary goalkeeper for BU, Luna logged a record-setting 229 saves, accumulating a save percentage of .504 percent. She also collected 29 steals, three assists and two goals.
