Complete Win Over Warriors

Knapp’s grand slam headlines 13-hit effort in win

March 20, 2026

LINCOLN, Calif. --- The Biola baseball team closed out their four game series against the Jessup Warriors in style, winning by a final score of 13-1.

The Eagles pitching staff was elite across all seven innings. After giving up a first inning home run, Oscar Knapp gave up only two hits and two walks, while striking out three. Blake Wentz followed with three innings of no-hit ball, walking two and striking out one.

Eight of the nine starters for Biola reached base, including three Eagles logging a multi-hit game. Knapp and James Whitman both went deep for BU. As a team, Biola went 13-for-33, averaging .394, drawing nine walks and collected five extra base hits.

Whitman lined a home run in the top of the first putting Biola ahead early. The Warriors answered with a home run in the bottom half of the inning to tie things up.

In the second, Adiel Torres scored on a balk, while Nick Madole scored on an RBI groundout.

The Eagles added two more in the third via a sacrifice fly and a double by Reef Danner

Biola opened the flood gates in the fourth, scoring five runs. Whitman drew an RBI walk before Knapp hit a no doubt grand slam over the right field wall.

BU tacked on one more in the sixth after a fielding error and two in the seventh. Knapp and Danner added RBI doubles to their already efficient offensive day.

With the win, Biola improves to 16-16 overall and 12-12 in conference. They will close out their 17-game road trip against Azusa Pacific on April 3rd, beginning at 2 p.m.
