Box Score SANTA BARBARA, Calif.---The Biola men's tennis team defeated Westmont 5-2 at the Abbott Tennis Complex.

Biola won the doubles point courtesy of victories on the first and second courts. Alejandro Flores Monteverde and Angel Guerrero Melgar defeated their opponents 6-1 on court 1 and Pol Masafret Hernandez and Juan Vallejo won 6-0 on court 2.

Biola got the job done in singles, securing four victories in straight sets. Guerrero Melgar won 6-1, 6-2 on the second court, Large won 6-3, 6-3 on the third court, Flores Monteverde won 6-3, 6-2 on the fifth court and Thiago Canessa won 6-0, 6-3 on the sixth court.

Vallejo and Mateo Rivas fell in three sets. On the fourth court, Vallejo won his first set 6-3, lost the second 3-6 and then lost the super set 12-14.

Rivas, on the sixth court, won his first set tiebreak (7-2) but would lose the next two 5-7, 12-14.

Biola plays next on Friday, Mar. 6 at Jessup University.
